- Materials must fall freely from containers when dumped
- Containers may not be serviced if they are overfilled, are not accessible or include unacceptable materials.
Green Waste Recycling
Did you know that shrub and tree trimmings and grass can make up as much as 50 percent of the waste stream? But recycled yard waste becomes mulch – instead of going to the landfill! Use the cans marked “yard waste” for grass, leaves, shrubbery trimmings and branches.
Unacceptable items in Green Waste:
- Plastic Bags
- Household Garbage
- Concrete, Dirt or Rocks
- Treated or Painted Wood
- Animal Waste
